Saving a UV texture
« on: May 18, 2008, 03:04:36 pm »

Hi i was just wondering whether once you have used UV mapping in Anim8or to apply a texture across the required faces you can then save the texture that is currently on the model. Sorry if that's confusing ::)

Btw i need this for a game where i can only set one texture for the entire model. Thanks fo your time ;)

You can't do this directly from anim8or.  There is a very easy way to do this though.  You can get UVmapper or Lithunwrap (my personal choice of the two).  Then in anim8or, export the object as an .obj file and load it into the UVmapping program, and you can move things around (you'll want to do this, as anim8or just overlaps everything when it creates UV coordinates) then save the UV map and use your favorite image editing program to texture!
