Bug: Camera "sticks"
« on: June 08, 2015, 05:42:34 pm »

ALright, I think I'm in a slightly older build (1169 maybe), but I'm using two two views to edit a mesh and for some reason, when I changed the camera view with the dropdown in the top-left corner of the view, my "Left" view is now an angle I moved the camera to, instead of that being a "User-defined" view and "Left" being a flat left-side view.
Not sure how I did it but I did it.

i think, if you're in Front/Back/Left/Right/Top/Bottom view, and you pan and/or zoom the view without rotating it, and you then change to another view and back again, the program will remember where you panned/zoomed to.  however, if you rotate at all, then that will become a 'User-defined' view, and won't be remembered when changing to another view and back.

not sure if that's exactly what you're seeing, but that's how the program usually works in my experience.  you can usually get the viewport back to its default pan/zoom using View > Reset.

hope that helps?

I'll have to try it when I'm on my PC but if what you're saying is what I think it means in my head... Basically the "Left" view BECAME the "User" view, but it just said "Left". So every time I would switch to the "Left" view it would go to the view I set. I've never had that happen before.

Sorry Steve, to bog you down with my bugs! Enjoy yourself!! :)

davdud101: Back to your original question - how to return to a User1 view - there currently isn't one. I hadn't thought about this before, but this certainly needs fixing.

#098-072 - There is no way to return to a UserN view once you have left.
