Spheres, cubes and cylinders point edit help
« on: July 21, 2013, 09:43:51 am »

Greetings.
I am an absolute beginner so sorry if this is stupid question, but how can I edit sphere, cube or cylinder points? I set it to display wireframe, select point edit, but I can't see, and thus, select, any point. With primitive mesh, for example, I can see and edit the points perfectly.

Hi there,

You'll have to select the shape you want to edit in Object/Edit mode. Then Build>Convert to Mesh.

When you go to Object/Point Edit mode you should be able to see and select the individual points and edit then as you want.

Only a pleasure. Could I suggest giving the manual a look over?

http://www.anim8or.com/manual/index.html

This specific topic is covered under the "Mesh vs. Panametric Shapes" section.

When in doubt read the manual haha.
