You want to highlight all the edges( and I assume that they are all connected!) then yeah, press shift/ j to fill holes. any that are not filled are not connected so you will need to look at those unfilled edges.

Try to use quads Ie: four edges to a face rather than 3(tris)

Yes, Im trying to highlight, but shift J isnt doing anything.
Ive redone the nose multiple times with great care to match up the points, but it still seems that the edges(like you suggested) are not connected.
Is there a way to assure they are or are not connected?

What do you mean by four edges instead of three?
Please dont give up on helping me.

^^^
Thanks for that vid.
Retried again after watching video and it worked.
Great.
Then went to adjust a point, and now it wont fill again.
This is killin me.

How can I post my project here so someone could take a look at it.
If anyone cares to take a look, I can email it to them.

Ah, you have chosen to try your hand at the hardest thing that a beginner can attempt!

I could not do much with the file as there are no ref images attached to the file but I added some faces to help you on your
way, I have switched the faces as well, as they were blue, whereas they should be yellow.

The ref images are hidden in my file attached just use the h key to reveal. Shift/h hides them again in object mode,

I have also subdivided the faces so that you can see the difference when applied

To get back to your original mode, double click on the object and change the divisions working 2 and final 3 in popup, to 0 and 1
then use Menu/Build/Convert to mesh.

Good luck with your projevt, if you need any further assistance then please let me know.

A, believe me though, Im not trying to get out the work.
I just dont want to leave my nephew hangin.
Every year, him and his buddys do a "group" costuming for Halloween.
This year I suggested they do G.I. Joe.
After I showed them some of my old action figures and a couple original cartoon episodes, they were hooked.
My nephew loves to hear about what me and my brother(his father) were into when we were kids.
I always help them get their costumes together.
Im kind of handy on the building aspect.
Im gonna continue to try and progress on the head, but would be very greatful for you to give it a go.

Heres the pics I was using.......

He`s a cheeky chappie!! By the number of views of your ref images some others might have a bash, but don`t hold your breath !

Leave it with me you got ages until halloween!
