The Mischievous Ball
« on: June 24, 2012, 01:49:17 pm »

This is a higher quality render of a movie I did for a community project here on the site called "Pass the Ball", back in 2006. The idea was that each contributor would make a scene that included a ball entering at the beginning of the scene and leaving at the end, "passing" it to the next contributor. The bouncing of the ball in my scene is a little wonky but I think the animation turned out well.

Hi Marsmallos!

See you are a newbie again! I remember that project set up by Syziph It was fun to do and some old members got involved, but it seems those have passed the ball by nowand gone off to pastures new..

The original video is here http://www.anim8or.com/movies/movies1/pass_the_ball.zip

Hi kreator!
Apparently my old account was deleted when they updated the forums here. It was a fun project, but I guess we weren't "old" members at that time! (I certainly wasn't). I'm not surprised that some people have moved on, the development of anim8or stopped a couple of years ago, no?

Marsmallos, sorry, I must have accidentally deleted your account.  My apologies!  There have been thousnd of spammers creating accounts and I probably deleted it when cleaning up some of those.

No problem! Spam is a terrible thing. I hadn't posted here since several years back, when I was very much into Anim8or.

  • Couldn't ever use Blender or Maya. Anim8or's good.

Whoa! I haven't seen this one before, but it's nice! It's hard to do anticipated motion and things like that in Anim8or, and I think it most cases, it pulled off pretty nicely.
