Doesn't cre8or require a certain version of Windows .Net Framework to even run? I'm assessing various compatibility issues, and I remember quite clearly that back in the days of the Cre8or community, someone tested Cre8or and some games on Windows Vista AND 7... and it worked! Back then, 7 was a closed beta, and the guy just so happened to have gotten ahold of 7 from Microsoft. I believe we can figure out how we can get the old tool working on newer systems if we can just figure out what .Net Framework it required to run.
Also, if you have anything newer than DirectX 9 installed, you won't be able to use textures in your games, and if you DO use textures and test your game, there will be a black fog over the texture. This doesn't affect skyboxes though. If you want to use a skybox in most cre8or releases, I believe you have to switch the renderer to OpenGL, as using DirectX will cause the game to crash, due to a bug.
