Simple whole scene rotation
« on: February 01, 2010, 04:11:14 am »

Hi,
I would like to create intro for our research videos with a logo of our institute. I would be a little allusion to Twentieth century fox intro. I have our logo on  the pedestal and would like to create only short animation where this whole scene rotates - the same way as in case of Fox. Is there any simple way to achieve smooth animation of this? Doing this manually looks difficult, maybe to write some code directly in the an8 file?

thanks

Rather than rotating the scene, it might be better to move the camera, setting the camera to point at the centre of the scene (or to a Target object positioned at the centre of the scene).  If you define only the start and end points of the camera, and modify the spline curve motion path to a neat arc, the motion will be totally smooth and will more accurately represent reality than attempting to rotate an entire scene.
