Movement Glitch

Hi everybody!

I've been trying to create basic stick figures using geometric shapes in Object editor, make sequence movements in Figure editor and moving them around in Scene editor, but after I create between 5-6 objects, both the Object and Figure editors glitch.  I lose the ability to move in an upward or downward direction (including view, objects, etc.) and small adjustments I attempt to make on the objects and figures will launch into extreme/unwanted changes at the slightest mouse movement. 

Why does this happen and how do I remedy it?

You probably used too many polygons. Computers slow down with all of that information to deal with.

or might be accidently shuting your x,y,z axis

Perhaps you changed your screen coordinates? (the three buttons under the x,y,z buttons)

from what ive learned there is a certain way models react to bones. depedning on the model the bones and wieghts can be in the exact same spot, but the model will react differently depends on where the edge points are.

i dont know exactly what you mean by the slightest movements get extreme results.

you should set bone limits. so an arm will only go from 180° to 90°. that way it cant hyper extend in any joint its not supposed too,

I havent used multiple objects to make a single figure. thinking about it doesnt make sense to me, you might want to take all of your multiple objects and make it 1 solid object. so to do that
make a new object.
copy and paste all your seperate objects into your new object.
put them all into place (ike your figure would look like,)
select them all and (build>join solid)
go to point edit mode
Select the "creases" (where your seperate objects would merge together)
hit ctlr+l(i think) or edit>merge points(i think)
merge the points togeteher so there are no creases.
then try to rig your model again.

this way you can add more points to where ever it doesnt look right. and i think it will clean up tour whole project since there is much less to deal with,

i think there is a glitch though. usually on the default views. sometimes you need to go to the arc rotate and move it slightly and then you can move your bones where you want it. its kind of annoying and really isnt percise. but i dont think any1 could tell the difference even if it slightly off.

thanks for all of your help, everybody!  I was able to fix the problem and finished my project.

New Question: I have an object composed of a large number of polygons, and when I try to loopcut it in half (to give a cutaway view) Anim8or freezes.  I imagine this is due to the immense amount of thinking it has to do in order to complete this task.  Any ideas on better ways to do it?
