Need help !!!! QUICK

I Have a file that has models I made and all of a sudden it says error reading file and my life long work is completly gone it took me months and im so angry and want to know if there is a way I can get it back !!!! ???

You can open the file in notepad, and see if you can find the error, remember to make a copy before editing something!.
If you can't find the error you could post it here and ask if somebody could help you to find the error (I unfortunately doesn't have a lot time, because of a lot of home work..., so I doesn't have time to help you :().
