SPACEMARINE
« on: February 10, 2009, 10:20:22 pm »

well, after a LONG time of not messing with anim8or, I've decided to pick it back up with my inspiration re-kindled!!
My main modeling concept has always been warhammer 40k (obsessed with it) so I've taken up making a high-detailed model of a space marine elite unit...
he will be a bad ass...

ill also attach a model of a tank i made sevral several several months ago since it pertains to the theme  ;D

Nice work megapheesh.  So, far it is progressing nicely.  Texturing is going to be tricky, but going by your tank texture I think you have a fair idea of what you want.  Keep it up.  Keep us posted.

btw, even I am working on a similar heavily armoured character, but he is not going to be a hero, but a weird zombie.

-I'd love to see it!

-ive made another spacemarine once before, and rigging was nearly impossible (atleast on this computer- too slow)  so I think i will just use it for still shots until someday i have more POWER! ready to be rigged tho lol...

It doesn't look exactly like the concept, but the model is very impressive, especially how your getting parts of the mesh so smooth and others flat, without creating unwanted creases.

Looking good megapheesh.
Love the dirty / rusty metal texture with bullet holes on the tank very nicely done.
Just one very tiny thing, the tracks look too attached to the tank and the grey cross members seem to be rubbing on the tracks, still great models well done.

i'm still doing simple stuff like the breathing green ball dude (YouTube) and the short sword tutorial on CGNation.

maybe one day i'll be that good. i've got another 50 or 60 years left. :)

great job megapheesh.
