Cloth
« on: February 06, 2009, 06:06:18 am »

I saw several issues in the forum about cloth and other effects,so i decided to try out making a cloth.I made a short 'morph' animation of it falling on a cube but my net connection makes it hard for me to post it so i'll keep on trying. But here are the first stills (not from the animation)
first one is with ART and the other with scanline.

It's a shame anim8or doesn't support fresnel materials, they wouldve come in handy quite well with cloth materials.. None the less the red cloth looks very nice.. can you maybe share the material settings?

nice try.  The only flaw that i can notice right now is about thickness of cloth.  I think it is unncessarily thick and looking like a sponge sheet or something.  Try to make it thinner.  You can also apply a cloth texture with bump map plus a little specular value to get the desired effect.  Just a suggestion buddy.  Nice work, keep it up.

Physics would  be cool, but from what I hear, it takes a long time to code.
I've had a go at cloth myself using animation only on Anim8or awhile ago, I'd like to see your animation turns out.
