hi guys, this is my 1st post.

I dont have any 3D programs installed to my computer, and i first saw blender. I realy thought i wanted this but then i realised i need to download python for it to work. Also i know blender is hard to use, so before i start using blender i thought id start with anim8or. Ive seen a few comments on youtube saying that people tryed out blender but found it to hard so went back to anim8or. i would like to use blender once i get good with anim8or as blender has many features that anim8or has not. Do you think that i will wnd up not liking blender and going back to ani8or if i try it, or shall i just start with blender? Thank you in advance.

I use both blender and anim8or

i started out with anim8or, it is extremely easy to use and i myself prefer modeling in anim8or, that is its strong point. But for most other things i use Blender.

my advice is don't think you have to limit yourself, in the end it is not what software you use, but the final result.

My advice is use anim8or until you feel you need things which aren't available.  I first tried blender, didn't have a clue, used anim8or for a while until I needed hair and cloth with my models so switched to blender.  The background anim8or gave me was invaluable, a great stepping stone.  If you want to try blender first I'd recommend the Essential  Blender book.  Hope that helps.

Everyone will think different about this. Some will prefer blender, me myself prefer anim8or and some will prefer an other software. It's all up to you and how serious you are. Still anim8or is a great program to get introduced in the world of 3d because it's so user friendly.
As mcheccyb said: you have to try some of those programs out and pick one that fits you. In the end only the final results counts!
