Hello all, we are new to the Anim8or community and we are looking for a responsible anim8or
to do a few scenes for a live action "Whodunnit?" kind of film.

Things that will need to be animated:

A yellow file (Like a case file) being thrown down on a (black?) background *To show a actors name*

A magnifying glass goes over the the file *To reveal a different actors name*

The magnifying glass then points to the background and zooms in until the magnifying glass is no longer visible.

A black background, blood splashes onto it to reveal another actors name.

The camera swings around to a notepad, a pencil *The eraser part is out of view* writes the next actors name.



Don't worry about animated in the actors names, they can easily be put in during editing.
We at Kingdom Productions would appreciate this so very very much. Unfortunately we will
be unable to form some sort of payment EXCEPT that you will put in the credits as "Cheif of Animations"

Sounds like a good idea, so this is for a sort of Introduction? well some of this would take considerable effort to create... eg. The blood splash, though you've made it very clear what you need doing.

To be honest, their is possibly a four month (until March 2009) deadline, nothing too constricting. I will be starting the actual filming in April so it would help to get it in before then.

I made it slow    so you can stick the actors' names in. Feel free to speed it up.

I'm always wary of "please help - big production - no pay" postings. ...especially when they misspell "chief".  How is it they can afford to produce such a movie, yet not pay for such a little animation job? 

Why doesn't anybody ever offer to pay from the profits after release?
It's like people think that since Anim8or is free and most of us do this as a hobby, we shouldn't expect to be compensated for something Hollywood pays millions for.

I once designed and setup a website for a friend for free. They never delivered what I asked for, were always late providing material, or could never clearly define what they wanted. ...biggest waste of time ever, and the last time I did something like that for free.  After I was done, I realized that for all the headache, I could have made at least $500

I'm with you on this one 5L1D3R, they drop in asking for unpaid work and don't even have the common courtesy of introducing themselves; who they are and where they are.

Headwax you can make money by going to work, but that's one of the reasons these requests are made here because most everywhere else it is considered work and payment is expected.

I would do it for fun but I don't like the part of them not knowing anyone and come in and start asking for help. I like the challenge part of getting better but that other aspect seems to me a little crude.

To me it's fun. Seriously, the way I see it, the chance of this movie being made is zilch. But it's nice to have dreams isn't it?

I admire them for having the self confidence to have a dream and to persue it, even if they only persue it for five minutes.

As far as the payment? At my last painting show a little old lady looked at one of my paintings and started to cry. I felt a little uncomfortable and a sked her what the matter was. She answered that the painting reminded her of her grandchild and that she wanted to buy it (it was 500 dollars) but she (the little old lady) had no money. Well, to cut a long story short, I gave her the painting.

Afterwards I found out that she had been a local councillor, and her and her partner had done an enormous amount of work for the arts in our local town over the years. They both have wonderful art collections that will be donated to the regional gallery here  after their deaths. In giving this stranger the painting I have made two good and valuable friends and one of my small works may or may not enter the regional gallery here - which will be a great honour for me.

Sorry for the long story. But you see if Kingdom whatever films ever makes it big time you might be surprised what a small contribution now might do.

Of course birds might fly

Consider that if people didn't help each other occasionally, we would not, for example, have this great program anim8or which  has been donated to a bunch of  strangers (us) by one hard working man.

Thanks KP. No problem at all. It was fun figuring it out and trying to get the blood effect.

Hi all, sorry about not getting back very quickly, i've been busy writing up things.

Headwax: Any format is fine, AVI would be great considering i cannot seem to get it off of Youtube.

To Those That Are Being Rude: Who says i'm a "Big Company"? K.P is just me a few of my mates who love making films, not for money or anything like that, but for fun! Have you ever just gotten a camera and done stupid things? It's hilarious to watch it over again!

So that's that,
