No selection boxes around objects?

I'm been using Anim8or on Vista for a long time now, and I would never be able to see the white wireframe selection box around my selected object.
It hasn't been bothering me very much, but now I really need to see it. Does anyone know why this is happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to "File>Configure GUI" and make sure "Bounding boxes" checkbox is checked.
