Hi. I was just wondering if anybody could provide insight on whether anim8or could converted to use with a 3d printer or a cnc machine?

 Greetings AaronHawksley

YES.

On this page:
http://www.anim8or.com/smf/index.php/topic,5044.0.html

you'll see this quote, by Steve, the author of Anim8or.
Quote
STL export and import: Anim8or supports STL now so you can directly output 3D-Printable models. Note: This has only minimally been tested, so proceed with caution!
New to 1070 I've made a couple of great prints with the STL output so it seems to be working OK. I've even been told that I have "nice normals"!

Hey there

Have a look here: http://www.anim8or.com/smf/index.php/topic,4129.msg30511.html#msg30511

Raxx came right printing other peoples anim8or models. The posts are like 2 years old but maybe you could juice some information out of them haha.
Hope you come right, best if luck and keep us posted.

I regularly use Anim8or to produce models for 3D printing.  I designed many upgrade parts for my 3D printer in Anim8or, and then printed them on my Kossel 3D printer.  I like designing my robot prototypes in Anim8or because I can then animate the robot to see if the parts will actually go together and move correctly before I print them.

It's official: Anim8or is the perfect tool for printing our robot overlords XD
