I like it a lot I just think the materials could be better (mainly the glass looks like plastic).
Either way keep it up! (don't drop it or else it will shatter :P)

Hi Cooldude234,

Thanks. Yeah, It's a scanline render so no refraction. I was trying to fake it with the shadows. Maybe I will try it with ART later and see if I get a better result. I just don't have enough patience to wait for ART rendering.

Looks cool, how did you go about merging the 8 and the bottle neck? I like the reflections and shading as well, they look nice and sharp and give the image a sort of 'hi-def cartoon' feel

Thanks, everyone, for your comments.

Davdud101:
Thanks for asking, I joined the neck to the body of the bottle by merging faces at the top of the "8" to create a face with six edges, then used the bridge command to attache a six-sided cylinder to form the neck. Same with the base.

ART offers some really cool features, but materials in ART are tricky for me. For instance, I don't know what happened to the environment map on the top of the bottle, though it is clearly present on the bottom. Also, shadows often don't look the way I expect in the ray tracer. Of course scanline renders don't always turn out right the first time either, but since they are so much quicker, It is possible to redo as many times as it takes. It would be cool if there was a way to combine the best features of ART and scanline rendering.
