Modeler Needed
« on: December 12, 2012, 05:40:17 pm »

Greetings! From the indie game company ProGames Interactive™.
We are about to begin development on our first game, and require a modeler.
We are planning on making the game an interactive movie, similar to the Walking Dead game series.
Pay is included, as you will receive a part of the profit. Game to be priced at $15-$20.

Required tasks: Must be able to model realistic, comic style characters. (Examples of this is the Borderlands and/or Walking Dead models.)
Must be able to animate said models.

Thank you for taking your time to look at this post, and email us if interested! Brandon-Orner@pg-progames.com

P.S. Everyone in the company is a character in this series. If you join us, you'll appear in the game as well!
Info on this series will be on the site shortly.

P.S.S. The site is getting a major update with a new look! So stay tuned!

I am definitely interested, but please tell me what you think the difference is between realistic, and comic style characters?

I'd say that comic style looks real, but with a pinch 'o' cartoon. Black outlines. Thick details. Ya know?

Email me with some examples of your work, and we'll talk further.

Your job would be a modeler/animator, and like I said, will appear in the game as a main character... Like the rest of us. We'll fill you in on the game info, etc.

Okay so your referring to the Contours of the object, and exaggerated details?
Non the less I will email you later tonight and we'll hopefully talk some more then.

So...what modeling format is acceptable? You want to post some details about these kind of issues for prospective model makers on such a project. Thx.

Ah yes, sorry about that.
We are using Unity 3D.
So that would be... .FBX.
I'm pretty sure Unity converts them itself, but I'll check into that.
