Modifier Woes
« on: December 12, 2012, 02:44:01 pm »

Hi All

Why is it that when I save my project with a modifier, in this case a bend, I can't open it correctly?   The modifier is off to one side and the thing to be modified is there unmodified?

Hi Kreator

....hmmm.  I made a mesh.  Made made the modifier.  Told it to be a "bend"   Bound the mesh and modifier.  Double clicked the modifier.  Told it to bend 195 degrees.  Lovely.  Saved.  Opened later.  Not so lovely anymore.   Did  I miss a step?  I will check out the vid later at home.

yep you missed a step. You need to use  use "Effect Modifier" so it will not save.

I saw that before and wondered about it. :-)

Just tested and that was the step I missed.

A lot of other bizarre things were happening too.

Back on track!   Thanks Kreator!!!
