good bye [Apparently a 'I'm back' thread]
« on: June 05, 2008, 12:29:02 am »

hello all users of anim8or community, i have been using anim8or for 2 years now, but i decided it's time to move on, anim8or has too much limitations and\or is too simple to make a very complex model, which is what i want to do, and i want to be able to do it easily, so i have moved on to 3d studio max, it's a great program, i just got it this afternoon and i'm already making a spas-12, it's my fav gun, and making it with 3d max is much faster and easier then with anim8or, so, i decided not to use anim8or anymore. good bye everyone, i've had a great time here.

Forget all this crap, sorry. Was the 08' fever I must have been terribly ill from.

Erm... just because you don't use Anim8or anymore you can still come back to visit and help people out. I'm sure you will still be able to remember enough about Anim8or to stay here.

But if not, Have fun in the wide world of 3DS Max! Goodbye.

Well you can always come back like CydoniaKnight suggested, but if not goodbye! I will always remember you as the Bismarck Builder!

I would have to beg to differ on every one of your points regarding anim8or - granted it's not professional level like that 900 pound gorilla 3DStudio Max, but its capabilities are pretty incredible once you become intimately familiar with it.

At any rate, good luck with your modelling and take care. :)

Good lord this was such a long time ago, back in the idiotic days of 08' (Around then I was what... 12?), incase anybody's wondering, I've since then matured and moved on from the incompetent attitude of anim8or being a useless piece of garbage and 3DS max being a godly tool that will make you super tastically awesome.

Needless to say, I would like to believe I've actually gotton somewhere in the 3D world, but haven't touched anim8or since my 'move on'.
I might make some form of a attempt to relearn the somewhat clunky UI and make some half decent models [Instead of abusing the bloody subdivide tool and pretending what came out was actually good], but otherwise I'd like to apologize for this idiotic behavior and would like to reassure your faith in me as a human being.

Good for you, the halflifedude!  You've learned a valuable life lesson:

Just because my "clunky" wrench looks all beat up, it can still do many of the jobs for which it was intended.  And besides, it's just one of many in my toolbox.

Ay daniel, I figured with all the things you talked about on the forum, you must've used Anim8or for your job.
