put it on a movie? do you mean filming the animation and saving it, or putting it into an editing programme, or just watching it?

if you want to save the animation, go on render, render move, and select all your preferences
For an editing programme, windows movie maker comes with most windows computers (not sure about earlier versions)
If you want to watch it, you can upload it to youtube, or get windows media player.

i can't really go into any deeper explanation, since your question is a bit vague.

Have you read the manual?
It's going to be one of your very best friends when you're first starting out like this, so will tutorials.  Most of what you're asking is very basic and you can read about in the manual.  Fur is more complicated though, but here's a tutorial I found by simply googling "anim8or fur".

I'd appreciate it if you did some searching first, through the forum and google to solve your problem.  If then you don't come up with a result, feel free to ask on the forum!

Background colour/picture: In scene mode, click settings --> environment --> Pick the colour/picture/whatever, it's cool

I've heard tell of fur on a figure, but it's quite complicated, and very taxing on your render time

Yeah, what 3D Joe said.  But make sure you render using the default camera, because environment backgrounds are not visible on cameras you add yourself, at least in my experience.
