That image was very probably rendered in carrera, knowing kreator.. but if you want to make it in anim8or, you will have to make spotlights.

When you make a new light, in the properties you can choose what kind of light it will be; Infinite, Local or Spot.

Click on the Spot radio button. You now have a spotlight, you can change the properties of the spotlight by clicking on the Advanced button.

If you position the spotlights right, you can create something like the image.

The smoke you might have to make in post-production.

Good luck

You will need something like flat spheres for the lights. Maybe transparent, white with lights inside. The smoke effect can be done with cylinders expanded on 1 end, with a smoke texture, and transparent 0.1.

You might want to take a look at the lighting tutorial for anim8or for lighting effects.

No this picture is not mine $imon  its Arik`s and EriucAug`s ( i don`t want to be accused of plagiarism, enough rocks have been thrown my way! )

I would though, imagine its done in Carrara with a couple of spots and built in Lightcones.

Carrara does have the advantage of lots of extras that cannot be done in Anim8or and is an welcomeextra tool in the world of 3D!

Follow all the above instructions in anim8or and then wait for 110 years for the render to complete.  You will get the desired result. ;D

HaHa!!... I can imagine that ... Carrara render would be almost instanteous, perhaps just under a minute in full raytrace

I`ll post a rundown of what Carrara can do and what you are all missing! but I still use anim8or for the modelling as its far easier than Carrara`s modelling room which is awful.

I provided Aric & EricAug with Carrara FOC  you too,can get it at animanon.com if you just follow some simple rules....participate

just some of its assets Caustics,AO, animated Textures, Displacement mapping, gels, lightcones, aura, fast rendering, multi threading, render node(render farm) import 3ds,obj etc (not anim8or) use bvh data the pros for it on and on.

The program really is just another tool , that you should have in your essentials!

take a look here  http://www.animanon.com/Forum/index.php?topic=1257.0 a couple of issues of the Carrara Magazine

our own headwax is featured in one of them
