ART. of an imagined sound generating contraption wot i did for the steam punk challenge over on animannon.
i haven't got the patience to do it all in ART. but thought i would do a frame at least.
minor colour adjustment to rendered image in photoshop.
tell me off if this is too big an image for the forum.it is way within the file size guidelines .

That sort of puts me in mind of the musical instrument animations that came out some time back as part a set of compositions... seeing if I can find the links...

Yeah, I have a bad habit of showing things I think are cool... I hope it doesn't corrupt your own thread... Because I REALLY LIKE THAT WORK OF YOURS!

I guess I know that feeling... When ever I see the professional stuff, at once I am inspired and awed, and also sort of made to feel teeny-tiny... Heck, I feel that way when I see some of our peers' works! I didn't mean to make you feel that way.  I just wanted to show you what I thought of, in that "that's how cool I saw your work to be". :D

Captaindrewi:  Great work mate!  On a technical level that's a really excellent ART render, with great materials design and nice clean modelling.  On an artistic level it reaches a whole new height!  Without any need for subtitles or soundtrack this image is clearly showing musical instruments, though there are no recognisable musical instruments in the scene at all!  It's kinda like a stylised impression of a brass section.  Be proud mate, that's a rare achievement!

Arik:  Seriously, thanks for posting those links!  Amazing, mind-boggling stuff, and very inspirational.
