Project test Chamber: Atmospheric Corridor Renders
« on: December 27, 2008, 12:32:09 pm »

Ok so recently i've been working alot around the script and storyline but i have also started creating a little preview of what the film will be like... not really a trailer yet as it is far to early but its just an insight into what the film is going to be like. I've got to finish up creating a few more objects and then do the animation but expect this little preview to be ready and released in the coming weeks. I'm going to try and make it as atmospheric and exciting as possible. As for now here are some very early preview images of the corridor scene! I'll try and upload more images on the website and i may even have a movie clip to show but we'll see about that one! www.test-chamber.110mb.com or www.test-chamber.tk

Here are the half finished preview renders of the scene. Find them below in attached!

Like good, really atmospheric. The textures look a bit low res though. If you could make the walls just as good looking as the door it would look really reaslistic. ie the those stone on the ground could use a higher specular and a specular map.
At second: the lightbulb looks a bit odd: too bright. Try making it a bit transparent.

good idea, i think i might dim the bulb a bit and add a bit of dirt or dusty kind of look on the bulb and the metal lamp itself. as for the walls i'm going to increase the resoltuion and make the bump map stronger so it makes them look less flat :) I'll add a bit more shine to the paving as well.

Just one suggestion.  Try making the light bulb a bit yellowish tinged and make it cast a very light yellowish hue to make the space more rusty.
