If you're planning to chroma key then I suggest having the "green screen" as a scene background so it's not effected by lights and no shadows will be cast on it.

Not planning on a green screen, will be animating it and the background, if I can get the chain script loaded.

Nice clay render, fallloffalot.  Looking forward to seeing it in action!  Do you plan on adding fine detail, like the disc brake calipers, control cables (or hydraulics?), gear derailluers, etc., or will you be keeping it deliberately low-poly, kinda cartoonish?  I would personally love to see this model built as a full detail model, with every nut, bolt, spring and lever fully modelled, even if it is not brought to that level for the current comp, but revisited at a later date, with a beauty render done using the ART renderer.  Great work so far, looks like a nice clean bit of modelling, well done mate.

Thanks ensoniq5, I will be doing all of the fine detail, but am trying to get the movie done for now.
I've had to re-think my original ideas as time is a wastin, so i'm focusing on just the bike animation.
Having a bit of trouble with a few things: how to bump map the tyres (big nobbles needed) and how to make objects appear in an animation. I am trying to make the bike rotate with the parts of the bike flying in from the sides to build the bike then have it ride down the track which I've done in 1st person view (Track & 1st person view done, untextured) and a cut scene with the camera close to the ground just behind the front tyre.
I may missout on the comp due to time but I'll finish and post it anyway.

You are lucky Jason ... I`ve just lost all my Self Portrait Comp files on my Flashcard , But I may ask for a fortnight extension, so possibly could pan out for you.

Yeah I will., Back to animanon....
