Rotating object in once positon??
« on: April 22, 2008, 01:21:06 am »

Hey everyone, Im fairly new to Anim8or and have to my sense a good hang of the program, so glad I downloaded it..

Anyways, I wanted to know if there is a way I could rotate an object in one position over and over again in a sequence. Like hellicopter blades spinning or propellers or wheels, get my flow? All I know how to do is make a skeleton and animate the bones on them, but when I want to make something rotate in place, it just moves in a full circle as if in an orbit, instead of staying in a position and rotating.

Remember about pivot points as well.  You want the pivot point of the bone in the center of the object.  Still, there's a better way to do this, and that's with scripts.  You can find a good rotational script Here.

Do you mean like the rotational value of a wheel?

Thanks I'll give that a try and see if it works. And "Almost Cool," yes, like the rotation of a wheel
