What the...?
« on: June 30, 2021, 04:02:37 am »

Hello, guys! Today I opened Anim8or file and I saw message, that informed me about missing textures ??? I didn't delete any texture for my project from my computer. What happened? ??? Does Anim8or delete textures automatically when there are too many of them?

Sure you didn't move anything or re-name any folders?  Anim8or files store texture locations as absolute paths, if you rename or move the folder they are stored in it will throw this error.  You can open the file and fix any materials with missing textures.

No. For example, I saved file in Pictures that called "fence.png". This image still in Pictures and it still named "fence.png".  ???

I recommend that you use a separate directory (under C:\ somewhere) with your development directory, utilities that are portable like Anim8or, and you texture directories/save WIP folders.  Stuff under Users/ kinda gets goofy with permissions and stuff these days.  Sometimes just windows indexing or some sort of AV or "Cloud Storage" data stealing stuff that pretends to be a backup system can suddenly create a situation where a utility can no longer access a resource.  Look at its currently indexed location in your texture list, then remove/replace it, and see what the difference was.  That stinks when you have like 30 textures...
