Has development ceased?
« on: March 04, 2010, 12:34:52 pm »

I drop by the site every few months wondering if there will be a new version but it appears as if Anim8or has progressed very little in the past few years.

That's not a criticism just an observation. I like using Anim8or and want to continue to use it, IF it will be developed further.
Has development ceased? If so have you considered going open source to get another few developers to assist?

I wonder the same as you. But I'm sure Steve is doing all that he can. And by the sounds of some of his recent posts, I'd say the next version's going to be a beauty. =]

So far i know, steve is not only adding alot of new thing in the next version. But is also rewriting alot of old features. This will make adding new stuff easier for him. And rewriting all those features takes alot of time ;)

I asked this question a few months ago too. ;)
for me the answer is: because this is not an open-source development(not that that's a bad thing) the users aren't as included in the development process, so We don't know exactly where Steve's at. He could release the next version tomorrow, or release it next year.. Just keep checking back! :)

I occasionally think that Steve will disappoint us, but he always pulls through, descending from the sky in a chariot made of glistening RGB(102,102,153), and slowing his rapid acceleration toward the ground with an intuitive user interface combined with heaps of new and improved features.
