If you live in Australia, you might have already heard about this, but there is a film festival known as Trop Jr, and earlier this year, a film made with Anim8or (by myself) was one of the finalists.
It would sound more impressive if it had won, but it is an international film festival, and there were only 10 finalist films...so yeah....enjoy!

One thing I really learnt was that I should never try to compose my own sheet music...not until I have learnt to read it first!

now to be critical

you used alot of neat tricks. it looked like alot of it was done in post production but i liked it.

there wasnt alot of detail (if any at all) but i understand how long it takes to make something that long. i also understand (i think) the directors point of view. like nothing else mattered except the 2 main characters.

but all in all i think it was good. the only thing i didnt like was the grass. you attempted at it but it stood out way too much. i saw that you didnt use any real textures, but you could have made a bunch of plain materials in a transmap and it woudla looked alot better.

but congrats on almost winning. and huge props to actually finish something. you should b proud,

The criticism is really appreciated, and yeah, I loathed the grass. Originally I tried using a lot of layers with the same transmat of a lot of dots to make the grass, but that took 10 minutes to render each frame, even with no shadows or antialising... With the grass the way it was, it only took 2 minutes for each frame.
My computer is so amazingly slow...but yeah, that's why everything is simple, I pretend to put it down to atistic style, but it is mainly so I can actually animate.

i didnt know that transmaps took so long to render. ive never done it before. untill now that is. i think i got the jist of it. i only have 12 objects and it did slow down alot to render. but enough of me i hope you enter in for the next years competition.

might as well post the renders since u made me do them.(involuntarily).

But it had a happy ending! 
Some people didn't realise that he didn't jump at the end...some thought it was all arty and depresseing, but he goes down, they are reunited and it is all happy!
