Revolutionary war (noob)
« on: October 17, 2009, 04:18:23 pm »

Hi guys, I've been trying to animate every once in a while, but I've never got the hang of it, and I've never stuck to one idea, but this is my first big project, and since I'm not very good at anim8or yet, it won't be the best lol

That's pretty good, he reminds me of the old wooden toy soldier nutcrackers.

Thanks guys, I'm planning on doing a large scale battle. It'll be maybe red vs. blue, or red vs. brown. Ya, I've seen some of yalls' animations, and they're much better than mine.  ;D

Oh, and I'm wondering if I should incorporate faces. I'm not good at faces at all, and the faceless look can represent like the disregard for a single soldier's life, you know? Like how one face does not matter in the battle, it's all about numbers. LOL! I think I'm saying that because it's easier.  ;)

hay, they say nessesity is the mother of invention, well then dad was lazyness. i like the idea of the faceless. plus you gota figure if your going to do a large scale battle you might want to keep your poly count down. and for a far away wide shot which i would imagine you would have a few you wont see theyer faces any way. my self i think i would make one or two with  some kind face maby just enough to show expresoin. for a few closeups. like maby eyebrows and a hole for a mouth and thats it.

Alright cool. I'll rearrange a few things to make a lower poly count, and i have an update! Now with hat and backpack! lol

(this is before the low poly count remake)
