How do you do facial expressions? Can you make the character change expressions to angry and happy, sad etc, using anim8or, and how!??

Here's a longer version of what mak wrote:

You have to create a basic "neutral" shape of your character's face, then create several morph targets and finally animate the morph targets in the scene editor.
See http://www.anim8or.com/manual/3_object_editor.html#morph_targets

This tut will also explain, (i hope),  a basic theory about using morph targets.
The only difference is that, instead of morphing a cube you would be applying the principles to a face, and its expressions.

yes, but to give you a tip; make about 5 or 6 morphs ahh, ooo, eee, oh, vvv, umm, most of these you probable wont want to give a morph value grater than 1. but then youll want a few that you will only move along  one axis at a time(X, Y, Z)
example; select all the points that make the top lip
then; build>morph targets>new>name it (somthin like Tlip=Y)
move those up along Y axis only.
and move on to X and Z moving each along theyer named axis. then repeet for the botom lip, eyebrows and dont forget the nose. i hope this makes sence and helps.

Use what are called phonemes, which are basically the most basic sounds in speech.  This diagram gives a good representation of how you can use them.  So you would create a different morph for each one, and match it up to the sound clip.

im just using the anim8or prgram to create bones, and then im making an object, and adding the object to the bones.
Is there an easier way? Or is this a good way to animate anything?

and thank you for that neirao
