Though I would really advise you do something more than that. It's nice if you can add some shading yourself. For example, a human will have redder cheeks often, and under the eyes can be either blue-ish or purple-ish if you want something older and sadder. You need to add in more colors than just a base tan color. Skin is made up of many tints of reds yellows and blues. You should do some shading on your own. It's also good to lightly overlay some kind of texture since skin has a particular texture if you look up close.
You may also want to add small irregularities like birthmarks or freckles which are easy to add and add to the realism as well. Don't forget about bump maps or specular maps either!
