I'm guessing that you are making robot sonic?

then first of all, the ears are way to big, and second, what is with the bolts on each side of the mouth?

This isn't exactly Metal Sonic. It's a sort of creation based off of him. I have the body near completion, but haven't worked on it in awhile. I'm hoping to have it done soon. I would add a picture, but I am not at my home computer right now. Once I get the body operating, I'm hoping to make a short little video, but I need to learn first how to make scenes and stuff ^^;

You could have clicked on the link to the left that says "tutorials" If you're looking for tutorials.

I browsed the tutorials a bit actually lol. I did find some interesting things though. If I fully learn how to use this, I'm definitely goin to make some Sonic stuff big time.

You basically have to make the body model like rellik said, then in the figure option you press on "Multi-Bone Skin" (The button that looks like a "Y"... Well in my opion it looks like a "Y")... Then you have a choice to either use Bone Influences, or Weights (I only know how to use weights though)... oh yeah... and before you do the whole weights thing you probably want to have the bones lined up in the proper places (Like have bones lined up through the whole body... from head to toe... and make sure that they are actually going through the figure)

Anyway... Once you have done all that (Like once you have gotten all the bones aligned and selected weights), you just select a bone and you paint the area that you want that bone to move (Like if you wanted a bone that was aligned with the forearm to move the forearm, then you would select that bone and paint the area that you wanted it to move)

Well I hope that helps (I am not really the best person at explaining stuff)... and if I already told you something that you already knew then I am srry for wasting your time

Good Luck

Whoa... Lotsa stuff... I didn't really think it was that simple! *Facepalm* I'll report back and see if it does anything! Thanks!

Very cool Xuliang... It would be even cooler if you made the rest of his body and had a running sequence and then made a movie and him like run up and down walls and stuff like that

Eh... ^^; I'm not quite sure how to do that or animate it. I'm going to try and work on a body though. I'm workin on it as I type lol.

EDIT: I forgot I wanted to post a new pic I editted his ears.

Ya, I'm a huge fan and this is all I have of the collection in picture form. I always tend to use a black background... I can't really do eyes or anything or the bodies because I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I've seen some really good models and it almost makes me feel inferior to the point I should just browse and stare in aw of the awesomeness... @_@ Here's my attempts at Sonic... of some kind... I'm still learning, so advice is gewd! =D

Okay, so I was advised QUITE some time ago about this program and I've been workin with it forever, but only now joined the forum because we got better internet so it would actually load. When I got the manual on how to use it, I got confused cause it didn't really explain everything I needed, and when I started diggin in deeper, I started to figure SOME stuff out, but not ALL of it that I needed. I can't figure out how to animate things. I can make an entire body, but I can never get the model to move... Just the ENTIRE figure strapped onto one bone. Plus, I have trouble making bodies because... well... yaaaa let's just say that I can't figure it out >_<

Lemme explain... I'm a SUPER HUGE Sonic the Hedgehog fan, and I have successfully made several heads... but no bodies to go with them that look like they should. I can handle shaping them and everything, but I don't know how to bend the arms or anything with one piece or nothin', that is, if that's possible. Also just to throw this in I'm not to positive with the eyes when I make em. I dunno how to make those look like the actual Sonic eyes where they don't stick off the face lol. I've been trying and I even discovered a way to fix the quills so they stick off the head correctly, and I can make the ears now attached to the head. The nose I add separate anyways, so that's no big deal :P.

Can anyone help me out here? I have several OLD models over at my page, xuliang.deviantart.com if you can find them buried in my gallery, and I just put up a new one called Metal Sonic. I figured out the shiny factor lol! But yes, anyway, can someone help me?
