General Anim8or Forum / Re: Control bevel amount?

In the Point Editor, first select the faces, edges or points that you want to bevel. Then using the Bevel tool (hot key "b") click-drag to make the bevel. The size of the bevel varies as you move the mouse.

Ah so it's specific to the point mode. Okay. I was doing it in Edge and Face mode. Hadn't considered point mode. Go figure lol.

Thanks!

Edit: Actually I think I know what was happening before. I was in Grid Snap mode, so it was automatically snapping to the "nearest" grid size, and I wasn't moving the mouse enough to make it "jump" to the next. With grid snap disabled, it works the way I expected.

Okay cool. Good to know.

General Anim8or Forum / Control bevel amount?

Hello,

Was just wondering if there's a way to control the size of a bevel? When I use the function, it just sets it to a specific amount, and then I can't adjust it. Can't find an options dialogue for it, either.

Is this do-able?

Thanks!

Ah okay.

Thanks for the clarifications. Still learning my way around the interface (doesn't help that I've been dabbling with a few different programs lately) and have to learn the keys and how things work.

Thanks for the help/info, Steve.

Is the "Front" button enabled? If you right-click on the "Back" button it disabled selecting front facing things. If this is the case, right-click on the "Front" to select only front facing and left-click to enable it without disabling back facing.

Hmm I hadn't clicked on either of those buttons at all.

Ran into another weird issue, where I only have Edge selection enabled, Fast Select is not enabled, but it's still selecting faces and vertices.

Hello,

Checking out Anim8or, 1.01.1385 Dev version, and keep having this issue come up for no reason that I can consistently recreate.

Basically, I'm going into Object Point Edit mode, with only face select activated, and for some reason the select tool (a) randomly stops working, and won't select faces or edges anymore.
Vertex select mode continues to work fine.

The object is converted to mesh.

Like I said, I can't recreate it consistently, and there's no particular set of steps I'm taking prior to it happening. It just does at random.

Any way to fix this in-program, or might it be a bug to be submitted?
