General Anim8or Forum / Re: Skyscraper @ night using glossyreflector

Thank you for your response. I probably didn't explain clearly.
I'm trying to get the emissive texture to show up. The reflective properties are fine, as seen in the first image. When you look at a building at night you see only windows where lights are on. But you also see the reflection of the surrounding city.

I guess I will simply use a UV image of the surrounding city.

OK I usually use emmisive set to 1 with a texture that has several bright spots that look like windows. But I was looking to use the glossyreflector effect to show the reflected buildings.

I would like to have both. The emissivity effect does not seem to show thru the reflectivity of the glossyreflector.

Can I turn that down?

Or is there a better way?

I'm new to using .97 so there probably is.

Thanks

An8 is open-source correct?
Just no one working on it...?

If not, it would progress faster if it were I think.

(not to say it hasn't) And its still free...
I import 3ds to Blender if I want to do something specific, but if I'm just modeling I like Anim8or.

If you want to render it wire. Add a yellow material Emissive 1.
Then select all the faces and extrude in a bit.
Then either delete the extruded faces, or color them with a transparent material.

BigSprings0069 I have Win-7 64 and tried Raxx solution ( no success )
Then I simply right-clicked my vid card in the device manager and clicked 'Update Drivers'
Anim8or works now.
