General Anim8or Forum / align to axis?
« on: November 08, 2008, 09:31:36 pm »
hi everybody,

its been a LONG time since i posted anything. its good to be back.

ok, so i'm wondering, if its at all possible, to align points to an axis? like selecting a group of points, and align all to x or y axis. eg, i have a model that is supposed to be perfectly straight on one side but over time/sloppy modeling, they are kinda messed up. i really dont want to manually arrange every single point, so im wondering if there is a way to do this automatically.

if this feature doesnt already exist, it would be cool to have!

i was trying to plug in the power chord to my touchscreen tablet pc, and i dropped it on a surge strip and the lcd shattered to pieces :'( luckily, it ran on flash memory, which is not nearly as fragile as hdd disk memory, so i got it all back.

yeah, i'd go with a transparency map. Bob_I_Ts had a really nice one, but you can easily photoshop your own.

Try "wax" from debugmode.com it's supposedly a non-linear video editor, but it's editing tools suck. but since it has un-limited video tracks, it's compositing tools can't be beaten for the price.
