General Anim8or Forum / It wont let me do anything!!
« on: March 18, 2010, 10:53:08 pm »
Heey everyone,
I have recently gotten a new computer and it is with windows 7, I have come to the conclusion that the program Anim8or is not compatible it, and so I have downloaded anim8or on my dads computer which is windows XP. But for some reason after transferring all of my work from my old XP computer, putting it on my new one, then using a USB to put it on my dads computer it wont let me do a number of things on the program. For example, it will not let me put in textures, and mould the points on the figure. PLEASE HELP!!!!  :(

Thank you! I think it may have been something to do with the memory, it seems to be working now, thankfully :) can you download the newest version from this site by any chance?

Hi, I think it was the colour card like you said! I went onto a different computer and it worked!! Thank you for your help! I have another question though, I was wondering if the version of anim8or that you download from this site limits you to a certain amount of frames that you can render? Becuase when I am rendering, it gets an error always after 238 frames.

haha! Yes maybe I went colour blind :P ive tried rendering in images, alpha channel and both, but its still black and white. When I go into scene mode, the scene is in colour, but when i render it, the previews are black and white, and so is the saved file. However I have not added any lighting, I might try that now. What settings can i do to screen shot?

thank you so much :) i imported the water into the already made project, but i have one more question! When it added to the project, it added to a new scene, I tried copying and pasting it to the scene i wanted but the paste button was blocked out. How could i get the water animation onto the scene i need it on?

Do you mean the program while making it, or the end product?

sorry i'm not very good at explaining things! What i have done is i have made a project on anim8or. And i have made a water animation on terrainim8or. And i want to add the water to my project, but when i open it on anim8or, it opens in a new anim8or project and not my already prepared project :S

I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to save a figure from one project onto another saved profect? For example, i have followed the animating water tutorial on http://www.biederman.net/leslie/terranim8or/terranim8or.htm, and i want to use the effect on my already started project, but when i click on open it opens a whole new project apart from my origanal one.

So there probably wouldn't be a way to make wings of a dragon look connected by a thin layer of skin, but bend properly also.

Hi,
I was just wondering if someone could tell me if there is anyway to make objects that are added to different bones, attracted to eachother. For example, if one bone moves away from the other, I don't want there to be a gap, I want there to be a thin connection, where the gap would normally be, if that makes any sense. please help.
Thanks
