General Anim8or Forum / Importing DivX or Mpeg4 TV-images in project
« on: March 16, 2008, 09:53:16 am »
Is it possible to import movies in your project.  It should be something like you see in cartoons.  Every figure, even the television, is created in the cartoon but you can see real images on the televison in that cartoon.  How do I do something like that.

General Anim8or Forum / Texture list mirror, gold, silver, etc....
« on: January 17, 2008, 03:55:53 am »
I want to create a mirror for my little project.  Actually it is a bent metal plate with a shining surface. Like chrome, which can be used as a mirror.   In the user manual there is a small list of 6 textures
The question : Is there somewhere a indication list with materials and the specifications of the material like ambient, diffuse ?

What went wrong?

Before I went to this forum I read my book and yes I experimented with textures, but never had a photo on my cube only lines  I even thought it was not possible with Anim8tor.  With the example of kreator I saw that it should be possible.  Thanks!  Afterwards everything seems to be stupid
In dump 1 and dump 1b you’ll find a result (only an extract of the photo) and the lines.
In dump 2 I was to hard focuses on de line.  I didn’t see that the x-axe was too small defined.   If making the x-surface wider then you get the picture. Than the step  was  little to  understand that working in the Face Editing mode and using the UV texture tool, it possible is to give every side a different picture.

General Anim8or Forum / How to render photos
« on: January 13, 2008, 02:33:18 pm »
Hello

I'm new on this forum and I'm trying to understand Anim8tor.  Until now I understand how to create an object and how camera mouvements works.  Now I'm trying to render a photo as part of an object. Let me explain.  Suppose that you have a frame with in that frame a photo. how do i have to create it.
If I do a group with a cube and a ref image than I see the  photo in object mode, but if I try to render it or  if I try to bring that object in a scene then I don't have the image any more.

P.S.  Sorry for mistyped words  English is not my native language
