when i draw the squares, they have a border, then when i try and remove the border the face disappears also

hi I have to do a school project with animator, im pretty good with flash but im no good with animator. Im doing the pencil animation, and im trying to draw the squares that will slide and uncover the text but i cant get rid of the border. I feel like an idiot but i cant figure it out. Can someone tell me how to get rid of it, and any other tips you can give for pencil animation?
