Title: Flipping a figure
Post by: Stuey on January 09, 2008, 12:30:25 am
Is there any way to flip or mirror a figure,

example I have a right hand with painted wieghts on it already and I need a left hand with the same wieghts on it.

is there any way to flip or mirror this figure, create a new one and then continue work without haveing to repaint the hand?

I already answered this on the .org forums, but...

Easy...
Your object must first be a mesh.  Select it, and click Build > Mirror.  The MirrorParameters dialog box pops up, and you can select along which axis you want the object mirrored.

no not yet. you can mirror the object but there are no shortcuts in figure making, you got to skin the other hand the hard way. but it gets easyer the more you do it

Sorry, Stuey, I missed the part about skinning and weights.  Simple mirroring works with object geometry and textures, but not with bone structues, yet.  My bad...
