Title: anim8or under WINE (ubuntu)

I have recently installed Ubuntu, it is great apart from the fact that i have yet to get anim8or to run with Wine.

when i right click anim8or and click "open with WINE" nothing happens. Something appears to load for a short while. but then nothing else opens.

is there something i am doing wrong?
do i need to configure something first?

I am using the latest version of Ubuntu and the latest version of WINE and v0.95 of anim8or.

The anim8or window appeared nicely for several seconds, and then it dissapeared...
i am using anim8or 0.95. Now i will try version 0.97 on my ubuntu intrepid ibex...Oh, it has been long time since the last time i worked with anim8or (in windows).
What should i do?

you could try installing the newest version of WINE.

type "glxgears" (without the quotes) into the terminal to see if your graphics card is working ok. that was my problem.
