Title: gennemsigtig så det liner farvet glas.
Post by: DisDus on April 24, 2008, 02:46:52 pm

Mange Hilsner DisDus
;)

I belief its danish, or an other scandinavian language. And i belief he asks how to make a glass material.

Glass: Use an env. map on 25 or use ART raytraced reflections (anim8or v0.97) and set the transperancy to 0,2 - 0,4.

Tanzim, the language is Danish and he asked how to make glass

Floyd86, just a question, why do you use an env. map to make glass ?

An environment map gives your material a fake reflection. Because glass is never 100% transparent and always reflects light. When you apply an environment map to the material it will look more 'real'. Also look at the manual for this: http://anim8or.com/manual/10_materials.html.

Thanks Floyd86, it was only a few hours after posting the question that the answer dawned on me ... because of the reflection.

Thanks falloffalot, much appreciated and thanks for pointing out the problem of posting a message. I wrote a little script to stop spammer bots from posting but I realize now that the rules are a bit too tight. I'll quickly change that   ;)

Edit : messages are working again  ;D
