Hi all,
Is it possible to use reference images in sequence mode for accurate bone movement for various things. I'm doing a human walk sequence and think I will find it a lot more accurate to use reference images for accuracy.
Any input will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Ian

I suggested this along time ago, matching leg walking movement with a diagram would be very useful. I hate asking for new stuff, feel bad about taking time from Steve.

Don't fell bad about asking, ianross. It helps me prioritize what I do :)

Well there is a pretty simple tweak you can try:
I did an experiment back in 2016 which could allow you to do something like that...first I created an image/video overlay(was able to overlay with translucency) using the autokey language then I lost my data
But the method wasn't good...it was pretty funny 😂
Anyway the second method was so good
So all you need to do is to
>create a planes(imgbg) with same size as your image
>then apply the image as diffuse material
>go to scene mode and import both your figure and the plane(imgbg)
>the just move the bones
to add another pose just create another plane and so on...
You can also create a script that can allow you to import multiple images as multiple objects at once...
I have one...I can even import the whole video...
I would share mine the problem is I created it in php and it's so complicated cause I edit the script directly everytime

Wow Steve!, you can import a video. Is it possible to import videos into the scene editor for rendering with CGI animation?

Sorry, ianross, but Anim8or doesn't support importing video.
