Hello fellow anim8ors!
one of the first posts i made on this forum was recreating the things i kept on my desk in 3D, and the response I got was great, and taught me most of what i know today about 3D modeling.
As I am now learning unity and working with VR, i thought a good exercise would be to do this again 11 years later. (wow, time really does fly)
When working in VR scale and aspect ratio are incredibly important. So i've bought a caliper, and for the first time I'm modeling with millimeter precision.
Here is a throwback to my first real project:

And here is how far I've come on my current project:

It's great to see so many of you still being active on here a decade later.
Lots of love to all of you, and especially to steve for sparking my interest in 3D modeling, wich has lead me to my profession today (and still using your software no less!)

Sorry for the huge pictures. Any way to scale them down without using specific withxlenght?

very nice modelling, but i might have to report you to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Keyboards :P

Don't worry. I only remove the keys to clean the keyboard ;)

Really nice models, the detail is great! I *suppose* if there's any improvement to be had, the lighting could really bring your stuff to looking photorealistic I think, since the quality in the modeling is there already
