Title: Is batch renders possible?
Post by: jbskaggs on December 26, 2018, 01:34:57 pm
Hi again.

Is there a way to do this procedure thru script?: Or maybe there is a plugin?

I set my model to orthoscopic

render model, save to png

rotate model 45 degrees on y axis and save to name+=1 png

rotate model 45 degrees on y axis and save to name+=1 png

Until all 8 major views are saved 0,45,90,135,180,225,270,315

This would save each render in each direction for png sprite use in a 2.5 / isometric game.

There is a basic render command in ASL but it's not really that useful. It also seems to be broken at the moment :(

I'll see if I can fix a quick fix, and possible improve it so that you can do something like this.

I just posted a build that fixes the crash when rendering an image using ASL. This is a quick pass as I'm going out of town for a couple of days.  There's more to come.

The new build is v1.01.1352, December 27, 2018: Build 1352 (http://www.anim8or.com/download/preview/files/animcl1352.zip)

I don't have the documentation done, but here's an example ASL file with a little documentation. Hope this helps!
