Title: Adding Points
Post by: anthony1799 on August 08, 2016, 10:32:05 am
Hi everyone, I was wondering how I can add points to a figure after it has been made and shaped? I am creating a mask and using points to outline my facial structure. The problem is that I have run out of points for parts of my face and do not want to start everything over because this process has been very tedious. Thank you for your time. Also, sorry if I should already know how to do this, I am a beginner!

Will using the knife in point edit mode do the trick for you?

Hey. I don't know if I understand it right, but if you to add more details to your model by creating new points/vertex/faces you can use the Knife tool (shortcut "K") in Object/Point Edit mode, or you can also create new loops by selecting a vertex, then Shift+Q, then j (Edit->Connect Edges).
If that's not what you asked, you can post an image showing what the problem is.
Any problem has at least one solution.

Ok, thank you very much! Also, I have almost finished my model but there are "overlaps" and some of the faces are connected to the others. Is there a way to remove these "overlaps?"

Yes. I would search for the overlapping faces, delete them and the extra points (if there are any) then select the edges and create the new faces Ctrl+J
