Title: Anim8or in AGS game
Post by: jwalt on January 25, 2016, 08:23:39 pm
I used Anim8or for a very short AGS Game (point and click adventure game).

Link (not sure this will work, noob at MediaFire):

https://www.mediafire.com/?h02xsl2wyp3nejr

The game name is Luther in the Hood, but the executable file is afroTest4 (my fault).

Made the models and rendered the 2D animations with Anim8or. Imported the stills and animations into AGS. Game is nothing to write home about, but looks like Anim8or is an good fit for AGS. Used build 1201 for this, and enjoying the hell out of the "trackballs!"

Afrotest4 XD
It was very interesting for sure (and very quiet)
Are you planning on making more for it?

Thanks for taking a look! I have no plans to do anything more with it. It was a passing thought about the January MAGS (monthly AGS game) topic, which was Black Death, as in the bubonic plague in Europe during the middle ages. AGS supports sounds, music, and voice acting, but I didn't use any of them. I never got the dialog to work quite like I wanted it to, and I pretty much stayed with the BASS template that comes with the engine and allows noobs to make something that resembles an actual game. It was, very much, a learning experience.
