Hope to have it done soon, here is a location for one scene. Stools don't work good in sand but it's not real. :P

Could I suggest adding some anti-aliasing to your render? It would make for smoother edges and definitely add to your scene.
Look forward to seeing how this evolves

Oh that is much better ::) Thanks

I have noticed that shadows behave much better when scenes have more objects rather then "grouping" things in single objects. Also having fewer overlapping polygons (unlike the bushes on this beach) seem to help also. Those are what are causing my problems here. Any other suggestions?

I'd say if possible,
Find a slightly more varied, less 'linear' ground map. Something with a small grain, and then maybe use real terrain generation (maybe Terranim8or) to get height variation. I'd also throw on a little bumpmapping to boost the realism even more.
Welll on the way, no doubt :)

a BIGGER sand texture would be nice. I like the idea of variable topographical features on the sand but they would have to match the texture for it to look right... Now that I think about it I thought putting the cabana that close to the water was silly also but I wanted everything to be kinda close together for the sake of large graphics. I'm really trying to focus on story right now because it is proving to be quite a long one and simplifying textures and models is kinda a sacrifice in favor of making this a 3-4 month project and not 6-8! :-[ . I have been using allot of free textures and shying away from spending allot of time on my own except for when I absolutely need to/prefer my own. Making large tillable textures is time consuming or expensive... ;) 8) Thanks for the feedback davdud101
