I just wanted to try out the new version--here is what I did:

Mostly I just couldn't come up with a creative idea, but I do like 3D text more than most people I guess.

grow the light in texture paper... is better :)

Neirao:  I put more light in the paper. I also used a better image for the texture. What do you think about this one?

I agree, regardless of the hedonistic nature of the object.

Just kidding, ronaldfarmer! Actually, it's often difficult to get 3D text to "look right."  I like the beveled edges, and the color scheme looks good, too.

Thanks, Cooldude, Neirao, and RudySchneider. Extruded text is actually how I became interested in Anim8or. I was looking for a better way to make nifty 3D logos for video productions when I stumbled onto the Anim8or website.

Nice, I'm digging your technique.   AND your second attempt is much cooler.
