Title: old motorcycle
Post by: Deepthought on September 19, 2014, 03:49:13 pm
just got done texturing this old motorcycle.
Even though it's not shown, it has a skeleton to allow steering and for the wheels to turn

I would, but I think that would bring my poly count too high.

Nice job Deepthought. The front fender seems like it should be turned around or extended at bit more in the back.
It certainly looks old and beat up.

Hmmm. So the tyres are connected? If they were made seperately, then subdivided, then just  'slipped' onto the rims? Poly count would not be that much higher, maybe?

Another possibility is, if you made these tyres originally 'cut' from a sphere, then you could up the smoothness at the beginning when first dragging out the sphere and setting the divisions. (parametric?, yellow bounding box)
Sorry to harp on, but good tyres are important on a bike...(http://s6.postimg.org/4y98eizkt/grywink.gif)
