Title: Nostalgic 3D - The minds eye
Post by: cooldude234 on June 19, 2014, 04:07:55 am
Doe's any one else remember these...
I also find they're still useful for looking back and seeing how they did some of these things from a technical standpoint.

I can't remember which ones it was; but I do remember that TV stations used to play a lot 3d shorts and tech demos per-say as fillers back when it was more of a wow factor to see that sort of thing (I'm talking all 90's here :P). I'm not sure if it was toy story that started the craze or if was just the fact it was new but I do miss when people were amazed just at the shear technology behind 3D animations.

Just stopped by to say hello and to share this video. I remember seeing it as a child and pretty much enjoyed and appreciated the music as well as CG:

It's a part of a bigger show: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0325932/combined it can be watched on YT if you search for 'Opera imaginaire'. It's a very fashionable blend of multiple techniques: early CG, handdrawn animation, video, stop-motion animation. I hope you enjoy ;)
